KKN Gurugram Desk | The eagerly awaited SSC CHSL 2025 recruitment has officially opened for online applications. This recruitment, one of the most prestigious exams conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), offers candidates the opportunity to apply for several positions, including Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and Data Entry Operator (DEO), among others. However, the number of vacancies available this year is lower compared to last year’s recruitment drive. Let’s delve into the details of the recruitment process, the vacancies, and important dates.

SSC CHSL 2025 Vacancy Details

For the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) exam 2025, the SSC has announced a total of 3131 vacancies. While this may seem like a significant number, it is notably lower than the 3437 vacancies that were offered in SSC CHSL 2024. In 2024, the SSC CHSL received an overwhelming response, with 34,55,669 applicants vying for positions across the country.

The current SSC CHSL 2025 recruitment is designed to fill positions for Lower Division Clerks (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistants (JSA), Data Entry Operators (DEO), and DEO Grade A under various ministries, including the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Ministry of Culture.

Despite the reduction in vacancies, this year’s SSC CHSL recruitment is expected to generate significant interest. Candidates should be prepared for a competitive process, given the massive number of applicants expected to apply.

Important Dates for SSC CHSL 2025 Recruitment

  1. Application Submission Starts: June 23, 2025

  2. Last Date for Online Payment: July 19, 2025

  3. Application Correction Window: July 23, 2025 – July 24, 2025

  4. SSC CHSL Tier I Exam Dates: September 8, 2025 – September 18, 2025

  5. SSC CHSL Tier II Exam (for Tier I qualified candidates): February-March 2026

It is important for candidates to keep track of these dates to avoid any last-minute issues with applications and payments.

Educational Qualifications

The educational requirements for the SSC CHSL 2025 recruitment vary depending on the post. Candidates interested in applying for Data Entry Operator (DEO) positions must have passed the 12th grade in the Science stream. On the other hand, candidates applying for LDC, JSA, and DEO Grade A positions can come from any stream, as long as they have completed their 12th-grade education.

This wide eligibility criteria allows a diverse group of candidates to apply for the various positions in the SSC CHSL recruitment process.

The age limit for candidates applying for SSC CHSL 2025 is as follows:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
